Remember the first step your baby took?
His first word? First times are special memories that stay
with us a life time. Yesterday we had a “first time” here
that is a super blessing that God gave to us.
January 31, 2004, Ignacio came to our
church to watch a Christian video. After the video I spoke
with him and saw the Holy Spirit working in his heart. I
shared the plan of salvation and he chose Christ as his
Savior! I met with Ignacio weekly as I began to disciple
him. During that discipleship time, his wife accepted
Christ and then his two daughters also came to Christ. The
Ignacio Quispe family was our first complete family to
accept Christ through our ministry in Tacna.
Ignacio loves soul winning and is one of
our most faithful leaders. I challenged Ignacio to bring in
a new family just as they were brought in. Earlier this
year, Ignacio led Richard and Roxana to a saving knowledge
of the Lord. Some time later their son, Anthony got saved
then last week Becky led Katherine to the Lord.
Yesterday, the ENTIRE family was
baptized!!! What a blessing to see disciples reproducing
themselves! This is the first family that has won a family
in our ministry here in Tacna! Praise the Lord!!!
God is continuing to bless with many
visitors, decisions and good attendance. We had 85 AM and
124 PM on Sunday and a total of 5 baptized. We might be
able to fit in 5 more, but it is packed! PLEASE pray for
God’s provision for a property. Our God is great and our
time is short. Pray that we would be guided by God’s
perfect will and that we would accept His timetable.
We are making plans for our ‘Verano Loco
2007’ (Crazy Summer). Our summer months are January- March
here in Peru and we fill them to capacity. This is an
important time of training our leaders through various
activities. We will have Leadership Camp, Revival Meetings,
VBS, Mission Trips and many other activities. This would be
a perfect time for you to visit with a group! It would be a
tremendous blessing to have extra helping hands! Let us
know if you would like to plan a visit.
Thank you for your prayers for our family
and ministry. Please remember us in prayer this week as I
will be dedicating a few days for phone calls to schedule
meetings for next year’s furlough.
